Tomasz is a Partner and tax advisor at ALTO with nearly 17 years of extensive business and project experience.
He advises Polish and international companies across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, retail/FMCG, cosmetics, cinema, automotive, and e-commerce, serving a number of market-recognized brands.
Tomasz has expertise in tax planning, managing VAT/cash flow positions, addressing tax risks, and handling communication and disputes with tax authorities. He assists clients with VAT registration and compliance, as well as obtaining individual interpretations and binding rate information.
He provides guidance on all types of national and cross-border transactions, including intra-Community transactions, imports, exports, chain transactions, and turnkey projects.
Throughout his career, Tomasz has supported taxpayers in implementing new legislative solutions, such as JPK, split payment, and preparing for the implementation of KSeF.
In recent years, he has expanded his expertise to include sustainability-related issues, ranging from sugar tax to analyses for the bail system, Single Use Plastic regulations, CBAM reporting, and CSRD reporting.
Tomasz is the author of book-length commentaries on VAT (including a commentary on the VAT Directive and a study on the split payment mechanism), as well as dozens of comprehensive tax articles, as well as more than 150 other contributions and press commentaries on VAT and the circular economy.
