Support for Ukraine: ALTO supports home renovation for refugees

Together we can do more good! We are continuing the aid activities carried out in previous months for refugees from Ukraine.

In May, ALTO supported financially the renovation of the refugee house carried out by the Fundacja Fundusz Współpracy. The choice to join this initiative is not accidental – it was suggested by our team member involved in it – Aleksandra Traczuk from the Legal team at ALTO.

Although local, the initiative is of great long-term importance for the refugees because they will be able to peacefully and with dignity live in a specially renovated house for them. The Foundation also thought a step further: after the war, when the situation stabilizes and our guests will no longer need to occupy this place, then the hostel will be handed over to women in the homelessness crisis.

Currently, the renovation is in full swing, and the planned opening of the house is mid-June. In addition to the hostel and the common room where the classes are held, a new initiative has also been created in cooperation with the Feminoteka Foundation – workshops for women on cosmetic products handcraft, which will also be able to serve them as a place of gainful employment.

We are happy that, as a socially responsible company, we can make our contribution to help people who are in such a difficult life situation.
